Blue whale has evolved to its current form few millions years ago and from that time it holds the record of being the biggest known to humans animal that has ever existed on earth. It can grow up to 30 meters in length and can weight as much as 200 tons.
Recognizable by their bluish-gray colour, blue whales are filter feeders, they sew tons of water every day to capture krill which is their primary food source.
Even though they have colossal size, blue whales are known as peaceful animals which often engage in small family groups.
Unfortunately due to massive hunting in the past their population was reduced. But conservations efforts has led to recoveries and know number of blue whales is bigger.
